Crazies

My kids are amazing, awesome... and just a tad wee bit exhausting. They rarely stop and are often going full tilt into new adventures.  Some days their exhausting nature can get to me.  The days when I'm tired and just don't have the energy to deal with them are hard. But most days I can find a lot of joy in my kids and really laugh at their antics.
Like bathtime the other night.  They were complete crazies in the tub.  Pat was working and they were making me laugh so I told them I wanted to take a picture for daddy.  I said "Say Cheeseballs!"  I think the picture below speaks for itself!  Cheeseballs indeed.  Later, Mitch found Evie's training potty.  It look like a frog so he preceded to sit on it and hop around on it while yelling Ribbet! Evie put on her Christmas elf pajamas and 'posed' while I took her picture.  I was cracking up!
Whether it's bathtime, getting up on stage at COSI, playing Barbies or taking over mom and dad's bed, they always find a way to have fun.
PS - That last one isn't too fun for mom and dad!  The struggle is real!

A welcome little respite from winter

Last weekend and the beginning of last week, we were blessed with some amazing weather for this time of year. Instead of cold iciness that February usually brings, we enjoyed temps in the mid-upper 50s! It was awesome and we took full advantage.  We played outside Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.  We went to the park, kicked a soccer ball around the yard, took a walk,  drew pictures with chalk on the driveway, rode bikes and had a pretty intense game of tag.  It was exactly what we needed after sickness and weeks of being cooped up inside the house!
