A Brief Intermission :)

I’ve been a bad blogger lately.  Things have been so crazy lately around our house and it’s been hard for me to sit down and write.
Evie is growing and changing and learning new things every day.  She’s so busy, always moving and discovering new things.  She loves to pull herself up on things and she’s started cruising the furniture.  As few weeks ago she would hesitate before pulling herself up the couch, but no more. She’s even let go a few times – only to tumble right to the ground.  But she picks herself up and tries it again!  She stands in her crib now, holding onto the rail and crying “mmamammama” when she’s ready to get out.  She lightning fast when she crawls and there is not much that can stop her.  We put up two baby gates to try and confine her to our family room.  Needless to say, she hates them and would much rather be with Mommy and Daddy.  She got several new toys for Christmas that make noise and she loves to ‘dance’ to the beat of the music.  She rocks herself back and forth and gets the biggest smile on her face.  She’s getting better about eating baby food.  She loves yogurt, mangos & applesauce, squash and green beans.  But most of the time, she would prefer to feed herself.  She is obsessed with puffs and Cheerios.  And she is almost always willing to try and bit of whatever we are eating.  Especially if it is sweet.  She had her first lick of a lollipop the other night and loved it.  We don’t give her much sugar at all, but our girl definitely has a sweet tooth.  Evie has 4 teeth– 2 on top, and 2 on bottom.  She has at least one tooth working on coming in too.  Evie is ticklish. She loves to smile and laugh.  And boy oh boy, does she have an attitude.  If she is playing with something that she should be – a computer cord, the remote control, Mommy’s IPAD – and we take it away, she will pitch the biggest fit.  We try and ignore her and tell her that she’s can’t act like that just because she doesn’t get what she wants.  But really – she’s 10 months old and she doesn’t get it yet.
I could go on and on about my girl, but I’ll stop for now.
Until next time…
