It’s
been a tough few months in the Marker house, but I think (hope) that we
are beginning to see a little light. Since January the kids have been
sick 4-5 times. We’ve
had a virus that caused high fevers, strep throat, pink-eye, a stomach
virus and horrible colds that caused Evie some horrible nose bleeds.
It’s been rough! Now that spring is here, I’m hoping we can have a
healthy few months. Heck – I’d settle for a healthy
few days at this point!
Despite
the illnesses, we have tried to do some fun stuff over the past few
months. We celebrated Valentine’s Day. We celebrated Pops and Avi’s
birthdays at the end of
February. We had a visit from Aunt Julie. We’ve had indoor picnics
and done arts-and-crafts. We’ve built a snowman and played at the park
(in the same week no less – Thanks Ohio!) We’ve taken walks around the
neighborhood and attempted to fly kites. We
went to Easter Family Fun Day at Evie’s school and we
celebrated Evie’s 4th birthday. Now that I think about it,
it really hasn’t been so terrible. I forgot about the good times we had
amidst all the sickness. I’m glad I took
some pictures of it all!
