Day 21 - Books

I’m thankful that I was was taught to read and that there are so many wonderful books to read.  I enjoy losing myself in a good book.  It’s an escape.  A chance to visit a different place and time.  A chance to experience a different reality.  I’ve always loved to read, although nowadays I read more articles and short stories than anything due to lack of time and a couple of little distractions. 😉

I’m also being read to quite a bit these days.  That’s right... our girl Evie is reading!  She’s been doing fantastic!  She’s sounding out words and reading entire short books by herself.  She’s got her sight words down pat too.  She loves it and I could not be more excited.  Then again, she always loved books so I’m not exactly surprised.  

Mitch loves books too.  Train 🚂 books.  The library is one of our favorite places to visit.  I’m looking forward to taking him to the Main Library downtown this Christmas season to see the Huntington Train Display!
