I’m probably not alone in my love of Saturday. No work, no school. Sometimes we don’t even have a schedule. But most importantly, for me anyway, is that Saturday is Family Day for us. It’s the only day of the week that Pat and I both have off together. We try and do something special as a family. Sometimes it’s a simple as sharing a meal. Sometimes we go to the zoo. Sometimes we even spend the day in our pajamas just hanging out, playing games and watching movies. Saturday is Family Day in another way too... it’s usually the day we spend in KY with my parents and siblings. I love getting to see everyone and spend quality time with them.
This Saturday was more scheduled than most. We had two birthday parties within a few hours of each other. But I still got to sleep in a little and snuggle with both kids. I got to enjoy my morning cup of pumpkin spice coffee while talking to my husband in person (instead of a quick phone conversation). I got to enjoy the crisp fall weather with Pat and watch the kids run around giggling with friends. It was a good day.
